Our approach to handling complaints

 

Buying a used car isn't a science, all vehicles being offered for sale have variables:-

Age / Mileage / Appearance / Condition / Service History, Maintenance records, Finish / Equipment / Wear / Performance / Durability / Specification etc.   

One thing is certain, the mechanical parts of a used car are all worn to some degree or another, expectations of durability should be different for vehicles of different age/ mileage/ or even manufacturer!  all our cars are thoroughly checked prior to despatch.

Buyers are given a full opportunity to inspect & a 'try before you buy' test drive, if these raise any queries then please bring it to our attention, we want our customers to be happy with their purchase as befits our local reputation for quality.

Hold it for me! if you wish to RESERVE and ensure no-one else beat you to it, then a payment will be required to affirm your commitment to buy, we will cease advertising and commence all final preparations for the vehicle. If you subsequently withdraw then we will deduct such costs as are considered reasonable as permitted under UK legislation, all payments are received by us under these terms.

In the unlikely event of you remaining dissatisfied then:-

2] Email Kevin@Targetvsl.co.uk who will reply within 24Hrs - 7 days.

If you remain dissatisfied and wish to then make a Complaint then 

3] Write to: Customer Relations Director at our Website Address. Complaints are logged & our written response is held on file for inspection by the FCA Allow up to 56 days for resolution or closure.

In the unlikelihood of you remaining dissatisfied? then you might decide to make representation to either of these bodies;

* Citizens advice Bureau [CAB] who may direct you to an Alternative Dispute Resolution service provider [ADR] 

* the Ombudsman, see www.OmbudsmanAssociation.org 

* County Court [it's recommended to seek professional advice.. i.e. a solicitor beforehand]. 

Rest assured TCD will do everything we are expected to do when we first hear of a bonafide problem or grievance, very occasionally a customer might hold higher expectations than the Law provides !

 Card Payments - Pricing policy

Target Cars Derby work hard to keep advertised prices as low as possible as this aligns with our 'little-but-often' business model. 

All screen prices assume payment in £cash or bank transfer, we regret it's necessary to charge a 0.45% fee for ALL Debit Card Payments  other than initial 'vehicle reservation payment'. 

Zero Fee - Alternatives are      £cash,  or Direct Electronic Transfer from your bank to ours.

CREDIT CARD’s are NOT accepted in general, however we can in ‘exceptional circumstances’ accept them subject to a very costly 3.95% fee on every transaction However there is a cheaper option ! Your Card Provider will usually charge only 2 - 3% for cash withdrawals, so why not withdraw the cash and thus reduce the cost of your funding. These fee's aren't negotiable, so please spare all embarrassment by not attempting to!

 There is a clear customer benefit from this policy:- ie.... not all buyers wish purchase using such methods, and all the other buyers aren't therefore subsidising the ones that do. TCD are proud of the transparent way in which this policy operates.

 

By keeping our costs Low in this way, we can continue to sell great value cars at great prices to you.
